The funny thing about getting older is house work, home projects and even going to Home Depot becomes fun! Trust me when I was a kid mowing the grass was my least favorite chore - granted it might have been because I had to wear cleats, use a push mower and go side to side because of the steep 1/2 mountain we had as a backyard - haha!
At the beach house John enjoyed mowing the grass. He hoped on the riding mower, beer in hand, headphones in ears and away he went. I had a veggie & flower garden and attended to that and little projects were fun - really!
Also going to Home Depot/ Lowes now is fun! I remember asking my dad when I was little, "We have to go there again?! Can I stay home?" Now it's like an Adult Candy Store. Walking through the isles, getting inspiration and seeing what I can do. Everything from a new color on the walls, furniture make-overs, new shelving, power tools, oh boy oh boy there are just soo many fun things there.
As we have fun with our home I'll post our projects here. I'll do my best to be detailed in how we did things so if you want to give it a try you can do it too. We are not experts, just 2 people who consider themselves handy and like to try new things and DIY projects.
